You wait ages for a new rail station… and two come along at once. Ish. Two in six months, on a live railway, is not bad going.
With all the other things going on at the moment, forgot to mention that Kirkstall Forge Rail Station opened last Sunday. As usual, I was on the first train out. As you can see, lots of people were waiting to greet it (and even get on board). And then a long-ish wait for the return journey, which meant I could go for a walk out of the station, through the nacent Kirkstall Forge development, up to the new junction with the A65.
Next Monday there will be a media event, mainly for the politicians, as usual. It’s proving a bit taxing to organise, but we’ll get there in the end.
